When I was asked by my friends & family what I wanted for my 40th, I wanted something that I could keep as a reminder of them & reaching my 40th. I didn't realise what a hard task I had set them confused
I was one of the oldest in our school year, so I "got there before them" I did receive some amazing gifts, but now it's my turn, my friends are fast approaching 40 (so is my bf!) I really want to buy them something meaningful.
I'm not a tight ass that begrudges spending, I'm just useless at buying presents :!: Infact I'm a true Fridays girl (child that is born on a Friday is loving & giving)
I quite often buy friends things on a whim "saw this & thought of you" but a meaningful thing has me :?
My bf being the worst :? I've asked his mum for ideas & she doesnt know :!: I think guys are harder to buy for in general so I'm really struggling & asking for help & ideas PLEASE
My friends all got together for McC's big 40 and got me a really nice decanter plus glasses. I use them all the time and the malt whiskey looks great in the crystal!
Depends on what the bf is in to but it was a great gift for me and as I said, it is used all the time.
It's my 40th on Friday and I'm just happy to have reached that day intact and with all my faculties...... anything given to me on the actual day is a bonus and a blessing that those giving it are here to do so.
I have to say though, the love of my life is a gift that money cannot buy and if she is here on Friday (which I fully expect her to be ;) )........ then that's all I want!
A card or two would be nice though!

You sure about that "faculties" bit???
And you'll have to wait for your bash until you get a pressie from me!
Get him a ride in a hot air balloon, it is the weather for it. Go up with him, bribe the pilot to look the other way and give him (your b/f) a bj.
John
Why not get him a day at Donnington then he can drive a racing car or why not karting
