A few weeks ago I was in the local grog shop getting something to drink. In came a couple of girls with a portable stereo playing some not-too-bad music. The woman behind the counter asked to see some ID to check her age. The 26 year old was thrilled to bits. It's nice to see people made so happy by such a small thing.
When it was my turn to be served they asked me if I was over 18. But that was only as a joke. No one has mistaken me for a youngster for a very long time.
