One death is a tragedy for the friends and relatives. 8 million deaths is a tragedy for the world.
And 20 million Soviet muslims murdered in the same period by the Jewish-controlled KGB isn't a tragedy? You see, it's not just the numbers that make it important - the scale of the holocaust was NOT unprecedented by a long chalk: The catholic crusaders and the Mongol Horde killed far more and with greater brutality - it's the political favorability of the chosen cause isn't it? The only reason the holocaust gets more publicity is because the victims' descendants have voting power here and in the US.
The point about Rwanda is well made, and the same applies to Zimbabwe: The victims there aren't lottery cases with an excessively loud political voice in this country, so we ignore them.
