Well I bloody well wasn't sad

I was wiring in my mothers new shower, so my question is........
How do I go about rectifying this and more so how do I make sure I don't miss out again confused

sheddy hope you filled out the relevent part P paperwork regarding the shower instalation, as you know a shower instalation is regarded as a special location.
Also have you intstaled a 30ma Rcd, equipotential and cross bonding.

I used to be a live line underground cable jointer so if I can do 415 volts live I don't see the point in turning off a measley 240 volt :shock:
For the benefit of the HSE i'm kidding(ish) :lol: it's all done above board and not a twisted wire in sight biggrin

Sheddy I did my time on Seeboard so can joint up 11k live just bigger the volts bigger the bang :lol:

Oh what happy days they were when we used to put put one end of a test lamp on the main and the other end on the apprentices external steel toe caps, my how he used to jump :lol: :lol: :lol:

I remember charging street lighting caps with a megger and leaving them in the aprentices tool box lol

Just had lights installed in bathroom - how a fitting which is approx 6" from the shower can be Zone 3 is beyond me, 'specially as I bought Zone 2 lights!!

Jags a fitting 6 inches from a shower should be zone 1 according to the IEE on site guide or am I reading it wrong lol

Ah.. but the bathroom is 3m high and there is forward... or something!! The blokey with the head lamp was not happy at first but then explained it to me in boring and mind numbing detail - shower is 1.8 by 900 and with the height it seems OK.
OK.. I am now gone for a few days. Be good children.

I'm in the same boat H, I'm 1000ft above sea level here :shock:
Right real help now, make sure your PC is fitted with one of thoses surge protectors, try not to stand on your roof confused

oh nad no golfing untill its over. HTH smile

Failing that if it gets too scary I'll come and hold you hand :)

bloody hell ,,,i wired my mums shower today too and i also tried to access the site at the said time :shock:
i am not using 10mm cable again!!!!!!!!!
