Ok, so us girls generally are looking after ourselves. The photo evidence is on the profiles. We're not looking for athletes or gym type fanatics, just people that take care. lol
So why are the majority of men on here carrying the equivalent of a 6 pack or three? Come on guys, visit a gym and get in shape. Please! Pretty please.

wave Hi Jameybruce and welcome to the Forums, I realise it's one of your first posts but............
That's the biggest contradiction in terms I think I've ever seen!
And why should the men run to the gym and get in shape??
I prefer my men to be natural but I wouldn't dream of posting and saying "come on guys eat a cream cake or two!"
rolleyes
wink
Bloody well hope not, Mar. The cream cakes are all mine!!!! smackbottom

Well I traded up from a six pack to half a keg!
But if you would like to pay the exorbitant fees of the average gym for me I'd be happy to attempt to downgrade back to a six pack for you.

well some lovely thoughts, it just goes to show that we're all individuals and have our own preferences. Perhaps I do need to put on some weight, perhaps not as it's all a question of taste. There's no way I'd still have the hots for George Clooney if he put on 20 or 30 kilos, and for the wonderful Barry White (having a voice that lowered my knickers every time) I'd have had to be blindfolded.
And why do some guys wear jeans that are belted underneath an enormous overhang?

because if they got the waist to fit, the jeans would look so very silly everywhere else  men have different shaped bodies to us, and if the have a belly usually it is above the waist and dont have the wide hips (we only have them for childbirth) well makes sence to me!

'because if they got the waist to fit, the jeans would look so very silly everywhere else' Or the belly could go!
Thanks for that. That's my point exactly! lol

maybe they are happy the way the look though? and why should anyone change for anyone else rolleyes and it isnt always that easy to lose weight a big belly does not mean unfit either
So true... I have a friend who is a size ten, and I have more energy and get up and go than she does! Im a size 20 on top and 16 on bottom with a cuddly tum.. and my man loves me the way I am....

sometimes.... you know when people try to give you some good advice about trying not to generalise and alienating people.... but you keep at it and end digging a bigger and bigger hole for yourself......
this might be one of those times.....
we all have opinions..... you have had your say, others have had there,
now might be the "stop digging"

What I want to know is
Why do some people feel the need to be so thin that you cant even pinch n inch? and photos look like negatives?
Like Fabio says, stop digging, you may find you disappear altogether

I`ve spent most of my adult life very skinny. It wasn`t from choice, it was just the way I was made !!
Since passing forty I`ve grown moobs and put on at least two inches around me waist.
For years I have had to put up with larger people commenting on my appearance and health rolleyes
It`s always OK for people to critize thin people ....
"Skinny as a rake"
"I`ve seen more meat on a butchers pencil"
"You really should eat more"
"Are you sure you`re ok ? you look very thin"
"Blimey! you don`t eat much do ya ?"
But as soon as a thin person expresses a view about people carrying a bit of "extra" they get jumped on and everybody starts going on about how they should keep their opinions to themselves !!!
And Ive been pursecuted ALL my life by thin people for carrying weight. My life at school was made hell. Even you cant be that naive to think these things only happen to skinny people.
I dont object to people having their preferences and opinions but if they want to come on here and have their say then they can expect people to have a right to reply even if its not what they expected to hear.
In my experience and I can assure you I have plenty, 99% of the time, the bully is usually someone who thinks they are 'Gods Gift' who likes to have a 'pop' at the fatty as with anyone who is different to the 'norm'
I expect the next thing will be 'people only get fat cos they are lazy and eat too much'
I think the OP is bloody rude actually but then, thats only my opinion

There's a difference between having a preference and finding someone who fits it or telling those that don't to change to fit it. You're not prepared to change for others, why should they change for you? I get told to eat more and that I'm too thin quite a bit, am I going to change? No, I'm happy as I am - but I'm also not going to expect someone else to lose a few pounds for my benifit - if I don't like them as they are I move along to the next one, hopefully without insulting them in the proccess.
As Fabio said, stop digging.

Hi. I have been pondering this one for a while so here goes... wink
I prefer men that carry a little extra weight and not into thin guys... I once went with a thin guy and didn't really do anything for me ( was waiting for him to snap lol )
My hubby has a average body and i wouldn't change him for anything ... love him as much today as when we first met even though he was thinner then as was i, but it's what is inside the person that counts and their personality... We do the usual things and we don't go to the gym but i do walk my dog twice a day and we condsider ourselves healthy and active and that works for us biggrin
the worls would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same size and shape etc... so we just enjoy how we are and eachother!!
Tiggs

Your point is - I think - that people should change to suit your requirements. So, just remind me - who made you God? If you don't like the way someone is put together move on. You really don't get to criticise how someone looks. Especially not with such a sweeping generalisation.
I like my men chunky - if I were to demand that all thin men got some more flesh - which 'Goddess' are they supposed to obey? You know men can't deal with complicated choices, don't make it harder for them than it is already.
we are all diff , u sort it surly by who ur talking too, we all have our likes and dislikes,,, one mans meat is anothers poison.
Well i myself am carrying few a extra kilo's..
and i have said that in my profile ..
So if you looked at my profile and read that bit,you wouldnt even condsider a possible meet...
Well as i said i have a few extra kilo's and am very very put off about visiting a gym...
So you are saying in your thread you looks at the cover before you get to know what is on the inside..
Well as you can see from my sig i have meet a great lady from the site and we are now a couple biggrin:D:D:D:D even with my few extra kilo's..
oh for heavens sake, did I actually say the word 'fat'? My point is clearly that girls take care of themselves and the guys (yes it's a generalisation but look at the evidence) don't! Has anyone seen 'how to look good naked'? It's about the clothes worn, the confidence, the hair, makeup et al. Men put on a pair of jeans and a shirt and that's it! Gut frequently hanging over ('paid for' no doubt) the belt but hidden. Why don't the guys, mine included, like to see pictures of themselves on their profiles? Are they ashamed?
I didn't say I like skinny men, in fact I do like a bit of meat, and the idea of spending hours in a gym is ludicrous, but what's wrong with taking a bit of care with the appearance?
Come on all, it's not criticism about shape or size!

Your first post appears to be a criticism, as well as a sweeping generalisation; you made a plea for guys to get in shape and visit a gym. confused

You have been advised to stop digging - I'd heed that advice if I were you
that's just silly! Disagree with a comment and keep quiet? Would that mean I'm wrong and my opinion is less worthy?
Sorry, that's just not me.
You name the thread "A few extra kilos"......

.....make comments about extra six packs or three....say
There's no way I'd still have the hots for George Clooney if he put on 20 or 30 kilos
and then wonder why people have focussed on weight?
Try "there's no way I'd still have the hots for George Clooney if he put on beige cords & a tank top" in future. It may help avert this misunderstanding that you were talking about weight.

There's a big difference between having an opinion and making statements/requests such as those you've made on this thread. In my opinion.

A losing battle dunno Wasting our time :dunno: Falling on deaf ears :dunno: all 3 very likely
I carry "a few extra kilos" and I could do with losing them but I will do it for myself not for someone who feels it is a requirement for me to be able to have the pleasure of meeting them.....
wow, what wonderful varied responses! I wonder who's carrying the extra kilos? And those making the almost personal attacks seem to have had so much time to send over a thousand responses! Is there a existance outside the forum perchance?
Come on folks, get a life! Nothing was aimed at any one individual, although the distant recesses of my memory are recalling my old granny and her comments about caps and whether they fit or not mad

No attacks have been personal, Id still like to know why everyone else should change for you? why dont you just look for those who fit your criteria, it can be done without making generalisations (sp)
