A Little Teckie Help

I have just been given a webcam, never used one before so before i went out and purchased one a friend gave me their spare one.
I know it is only a cheap one a "spacec@m 120.
It did not come with any software to install it. can anyone suggest somewhere where i can get a download for it to function ??
I will go out and purchase a good one if i can get on with this one.

Have you tried plugging it in and seeing if it will fire up. ??
If you are using Win XP the driver might, just might be in there. You never know. smile

tried just plugging it in - no luck.
have downloaded a driver - no luck.
i guess i should just go out and buy one !!!

I can recommend Logitech webcams!
Mine is the Logitech Pro 4000 - it is brilliant (built in microphone).
It's quite good for doing avatars too ( wink

)
It's not the cheapest - but Logitech do cheaper ones which are also very good!

visit trust website, and click on the support link, you can enter a model number there and it will automatically direct you to the right driver

With a usb webcam you need to install the driver while the cam is unplugged then reboot, then plug the cam in and it should do everything itself then smile

as bloke said, go here
this is the right driver...
if you have already installed the driver, just unplug the cam, reinstall it then reboot before plugging the cam in :)
