Only joined this site two weeks ago with my are very new to this and havent actually swung placed an ad and had a few couple stood out as being ok so we arranged to meet for a all met up and chatted over a drink it was a bit difficult making small talk with strangers but i didnt think it was going too bad.I went to the loo and my partner when to get the drinks we came back they had done a is this normal?I thought it was quite rude i wouldnt have took offense if they had simply said we didnt click i was going to tell them that to be meeting up with another couple next week so just wondering if most people just walk of without a word! sad
That was most unusual!!! If people don't click they normally say so on the night, shake hands and leave as friends.
Daft question perhaps if your new to the scene, but did you mention any very unusual things you were keen to try? biggrin
John & Shel
Although I'm new to the whole scene myself, that just sounds rude! sad
Perhaps they were new themselves but surely it would be nice to say/hear "Sorry but ...... "
Let's just hope their next couple don't do the same to them!

well i have been swinging for about 5 years now and i find that really rude, i would have been very offended by their lack of manners, no thats not usual and i suggest you just write it off to bad luck and remember not everyone is like that smile
There could've been all sorts of reasons but to leave in such a manner is certainly very bad manners and doesn't say much for them does it?
Forget it. There are plenty more fish in the sea! wink
smile :)
Yup it was rude but it does show how difficult it is from a cold start. Much better to get to know people on here first - takes a long time but is good fun too.
No that was rude.I.
Ihope you dont think all meets are going to be the same that deffo isent the norm
No. They were submissives and you let them off the hook. So they went awol.
Next time don't let them out of your sight.
Maybe they thought going AWOL wouldn't offend as much as saying "sorry but no go". I would prefer a polite "no" to a flit...
One can only assume they were new as well.

Agree with that Tune Essence
beat they were a scottish couple and it was their round next....bloody tight buggers !!! bolt
They could have drank the drinks you were getting in first and then done a runner.
Some people just don't don't think things through!!! confused :? :? lol
Its fight or flight time. you didn't give a fight so they took flight.
A cousin of my ex went for a date with a guy once. He ate his meal then said he was going to the loo. He never came back and left her with the bill. Now that IS rude! lol
I don't think such rudeness happens very often, and I've never experienced it myself, but some people are so socially inept at saying no politely that they resort to some right stupid stunts.
Don't let it put you off, it's much more common that people just don't turn up and leave you waiting around in a bar on your own..... oops, that didn't help, did it  wink
These days I much prefer to date people I already have met at socials. At least I know they will turn up and I can have a decent conversation, as well as the potential for a good shag :P  biggrin
