I agree with Nola and Mr P. The people Phuckers is directing at are the people who've been around for a while. I remember commenting on a similar thread a while back from someone who was relatively new and they were complaining about this and that.
My view is this, familiarity is the best tonic. If someone is around long enough they become a familiar face, people tend to build up a bond with those people and it's this that I think Phuckers is comparing with 'untouchables'.
If everyone agreed with everything I said and likewise me to them I wouldn't be me. I will wind some one up from time to time, I will possibly fall out with someone, I like Nola post in here from my heart and NO ONE will tell me what to do and what not to do.
I also have a fancy feeling Phuckers, you'll be around for a long time to come yet.
There wink

of late i find it difficult even to open my mouth on the forum,it seems like there is a group of untouchables out there who are prepared to split every sentence you put accross and take the piss for no good reason...i know this is the furom to debate, share ideas and have a laugh but am just suprised how some people hijack some serious and sensible threads with absolute nonsense
i know some victims like me will be intimidated to comment on this, but admin please restore some order
well may i also take the oppurtunity to apologise in public to the people have crossed words with
please dont ask me why i didnt get a ticket,to have a private word with admin about this issue

i have been sitting back and just watching lately and here i hear those words "the untouchables"...and i have to say what a load of old bollocks!
no one on here is untouchable, but i do know of some posters on here are not interested in others peoples opinions if they do not tally with there own,i read you thread on F1 and to be honest, people who had posted on there had valid reasons for posting, you didn't like some of the answers and got defensive and decided they were hijacking...are you now going to say i'm one of the untouchables because i don't agree with you?
Sorry phuckers
I hate to do it ....really I do !!
But
I have to agree with powers !!! aarrrgh it burns !!
You appear to get very upset when people don`t follow a certain direction with your threads and , lets face it, most of the abusive language is from you !!
Chill out....stay calm and accept that all this is just words on a screen ....
I can spit some venom on here sometimes, but generally speaking it`s all a bit toungue in cheek.
Thats!...Mr Powers to you!

We have a site AUP (Acceptable Use Policy), which can be viewed by clicking the link at the bottom of every page.
If you spot something that may break the AUP then report it to Admin or a Mod. If you are in doubt report it anyway and point out that you are uncertain as to whether it breaks the AUP and we will check it out.
If you (I am not aiming this at any individual) resort to using abusive language, then the AUP covers this and action will be taken against you and not neccessarily against the person that caused you to be abusive, so tread carefully!!!
And for the record - there are no Untouchables here!! confused :? :? wink

Just cos folks don't agree with you doesn't make them abusive or untouchable. NO untouchables here as many have found out.
As Sarge has said, if you find anyone breaking the site AUP then report them. The 'deactivate account' button is never far from a Mods' sight.

Yes I agree that a lot of threads get hijacked which can be bloody annoying but...I do not think there are " untouchables " out there.
As many know I have very strong views and upset a few people, they know who they are, but saying that I have had a lot returned to me. I have been warned about my behavour as have others I have argued with.
This is a Forum and with that you will always get peoples views thrown at you, I know I have. Yes it seems that there are people out there who cant wait to disagree with me, but that is all part of the Forum. I have toned down a bit but will never change my views for anyone!

That's just silly - I've been a Mod for a long long time and never deactivated anyone who hasn't deserved it. ALL Mods have the 'deactivate' button at their fingertips - did you really think otherwise??
Scaremongering again???
rolleyes
So basically, if you don't want to hear the answers then don't ask the question. If you do ask the question be prepared to hear answers you ain't gonna like.
No different from life really!
Does my ass look big in this...? evil
I think it all comes down to diffarent peoples sence of humor, i, myself, have quite a sarcastic sence of humor that i have had to take in hand on this site as humor does'nt come over in font and have in the past upset people without meaning to, sometimes some comments are ment quite harmless but if you don't know that person or their sense of humor its difficult to know how to take them smile

Found another one down the corridoor in the SH Canteen!
I always think of the threads as a conversation. As such they can wander well away from the original point without causing any offence.
When a thread is a specific request for information or advice then 'hijacks' are annoying, but apart from that, a flow and mix of commentary is what makes the forum so interesting.
As for abuse, I generally find that most 'negative' comments appear in the defence of the site or people on it. That doesn't itself count as abuse.
Everyone has opinions they hold very dear and some that we can't understand why others hold different ones. But that's life. Factual stuff can be confirmed or denied by research but with opinions we just have to agree to disagree sometimes.
Calling names is a bit childish when we have a very active moderation 'service' worship (too ass licking?) who can deal with inappropriate posts by others. We don't need to regress to the playground.

Are you sure we don't need gloves and a course in conker pulling too?
Is anyone a ST John's Ambulance person? We may need resuscitation with all the excitement.
