Abusive & threatening phone calls can be distressing soul destroying for anybody.
Being a target myself I hope to put some kind of conclusion to my harassment & gain some vital info on how to proceed.
I would like to know of anyone's experiences of taking out an injunction against a malicious caller & what happened?
So far I have reported my malicious caller to the police along with any other information they might need - I do not know the persons address & at the last update the crime unit have given me is that the calls have been made on a pay as you go mobile.
They have spoken to the caller to let them know I have reported the abuse & the calls have stopped for a little while... but now the caller has gotten a little braver & realises the police do not have their address & as a result the calls have come back thick & fast!
Malicious callers derive gratification a perverse sense of satisfaction from the power and control they feel they are able to exert over their victim. Their aim is to control, dominate & subjugate.
Responding with anger or threats satisfy these objectives and are just what the caller wants to hear & even when the number has been withheld I always answer with a polite tone to my voice & hang up with a "...thank you for your call."
Yes I can change my number & I will, BUTonly when all other avenues have been exhausted.
Now my next step is to take out an injunction against the caller but with no address how far can will it get me?
Any further advice will be gratefully received,
PM's are fine but any info & experiences posted within this topic can only serve to help others with similar problems.
C'mere babes :therethere:
Some phones like my Samsung G600, have a 'block number' option which is very handy for keeping any persistent callers away. Worth checking if yours has this function.
Sounds like you've done all you can for now and gone about things the right way. Not sure how far the police can take it without an address as it's PAYG so changing your number might be the only option.
Hope you get it sorted soon babes kiss
Have you tried calling Sugar Puffs and asking them to hide the Honey Monsters mobile phone? wink
(hope you get it sorted  )

I would change your number now, and or get a PAYG swinging phone. wink
Hope it gets sorted soon.
I once had a phone number that was similar to a local politician. Someone had posted his number on a message board somewhere but had mistyped it.
Oh what fun, late night calls, death threats, accusations of everything from murder and people smuggling to bribery and mugging old ladies. Don't get me wrong I can give as good as I get, and had some fun at first pretending I was him and having huge arguments with total strangers. But when the phone rung late one night and one of my teenage children answered, well let's just say enough was enough.
BT did want to charge me to change my number, but I complained to OFFCOM (I think that was their name), and my number was changed free of charge.
perhaps they want to marry u and u turn them dowm
or they found out u cheated on them,,,
well don t worry i am here for u,,, so cum and rest yr head on my shoulders n tell me all about it,,,
when we got a idiot that kept calling us,, hubby told him that i had left him,,, ten mins later he rang and ask if he new my number,,,
p.s. n the only abusive calls n texts we get r from u anyway.....pmsl now about big bro,,??????????????????

If you have an idea of where in the country this piece of slime lives in - you could try the electoral register. That will give you the address and it's public info - although I think there may be a small charge for searching.
If you want to get dirty - obtain an old police whistle and blow it REALLY hard down the phone - with any luck you'll burst an ear-drum. biggrin Or one of those air-horns they use to end rugby games with.
Wowsers!
All I can say is thanks for everybody's kind words & support.
Twos... you scaring the begeejuz outta me!
To date I have handed over more information regarding said persons family member & I hope the police will be able to act on this soon as poss'
In the mean time a little research on the electoral register wont go amiss!

Don't I get reprimanded? Told off? Spanked?
You just can't get the quality of male trollop these days...*sigh*
the full electoral register isnt available to the general public
only an edited version is
when the forms come to your house you can tick a box so that you dont appear on the edited one, thats the only version available to the general public

I too had calls and ended up having to report it to the police and luckily I know who had done them so they issued a harrassment notice on them.
However the police say that 99% of people who make such calls us pay as you go mobiles. The sim cards are as little as 50p and you dont have to register them.
Unless threats are mad to you or you are getting more than 300 plus texts/calls a day the police are unable to do much about it as it can take them months and months to trace where the calls are coming from and then they have to find the person in the area who are making the calls.
The best thing to do is change your number or get a phone that can block calls.
Thanks SG
Maybe taking out an injunction wont have any effect & possibly will inflame the situation? I dunno...
I can hardly see the police discussing my case at roll call Hill St Blues style & it will be a low priority matter.
I do know this poor unfortunate person & I'm gonna stick it out till their pathetic excuse for a life evolves into an amoeba!

How about putting the phone down, when they call you,(under a pillow, sofa, in the fridge) and just let them natter themselves to death? Thereby costing them a lot of money?
Good luck xx
New laws did come into force only last week and its very easy now to get an harrassment order and injunction against a person.
What you have to remember is that the person doing this probably has done it before and will probably do it again. So you have to think if you are able to stop them now you are saving some other person having to go through it.
