ads dissappear when you reply to them

Has anyone else noticed photoads that dissappear if you reply to them, usually ones with unanonymous emails.
one was posted yesterday evening about sevenish i think , I replied to it using hotmale , about 4am in the morning and when i came back to look at it again it had gone.
am I going mad ?

You will most likely find its a chancer who actually wants to lead you to a paysite..
They get a few replies and delete the ad(unless a mod does it for them)..
If you come across ads like these then make a note of the ad number and send a pm to a mod if the ad has gone or if it is still visible then use the report this ad function in the bottom left hand corner of the ad window and they can investigate further..
So you see......................Your not going mad after all..

thanks for the reply , I supected it was bogus afterwards. Damn it was a very well written and enticing ad , I got loads of newspam in my junkmail folder.

alternativley it might be that they had 100s of replies. This happened to me a while back, answered an ad then 2 hrs later it was gone. I had printed it off for reference if they got back to me. About 3 months later the same ad reappeared, this time I got a reply & when I asked about the previous one they said that in the first hour they had 260 replies & had to pull it to stop any more. So not all people are pissing you about some just get overwhelmed. Hope this helps
