I thought that seeing we had a childhood injuries, that i would open up an adult injuries, because if anyone is like me i had no problems as a child, but when i became an adult thats when all the fun started.
First Adult injury was when i fell 20 ft off of a rope bridge and i completely broke my ankle.
my next Adult injury was when i came off my motorcycle had a tibule plataue brake, on the same leg mind.
Now whats yours
ps excuse the spelling lol
October 2005
Spiral fracture of the tibia and fibula
I now have 18 inches of metal in my leg
I love morphine wink
Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been lucky so far....but then again i'm only nearly 19 so im sure ive got alot more to come.
June last year i got hit in the face with a bowling pin. It smashed a few of my teeth out of place, killed one of them and smashed another in two. Oh the joys of the orthadonist, they are fine now.

Lucky so far drew? i read your child hood one- ouch ouch and OUCH!!how the hell did the bowling pin one happen?!Ouch to you too sercher!
I think I'm the same as you TLF (ouch by the way!), not many childhood injuries, but now I'm old and scared, I've had so many gymnastics injuries, mainly from me chickening out half way through a tumble.
My most recent was landing on my head, with one arm behind my back, and hurting my neck during a vaut gone wrong.
Because I couldn't move my head, i couldn't see how swollen my elbow was, which didn't really bother me until i got it checked out 2 days later and turned out it was fractured!
I also have stress fractures in my feet probably from dancing, but they never really bothered me!
I was also out for months last year after a knee cruciate ligament injury sad
Maz xx
I suppose your right i hvent been that lucky. s for the bowling pin, it was thrown at me!
3 main injuries, an embolism after a diving accident has left me with a perforated lung and scar tissue wont heal, hence the cough, same ankle broken twice, once skydiving, once on site,( only injury after 143 freefall jumps) and 2 collapsed discs L3&4
Better to wear out than to rust out
I haven't had any real injuries, either in my youth or as an adult. Guess I'm just lucky.
However, I did spend an hour in casualty after a night on the pop panicking that I couldn't get my new contact lenses out... turns out I'd taken one out earlier in the night and put it in the case and immediately forgotten about it, and the other I'd lost redface surprisedops:  Ended up with a bad case of conjunctivitus after spending the best part of an hour trying to take out contact lenses I wasn't wearing.
The only other injuries are ones I get frequently. Burns on my arms from working in a kitchen because I flout the rules and don't wear the protective sleeves our kitchen has been issued with. One pair for 3 of us to share rolleyes
I broke my wrist when I was 29 sad I fell over wearing some rather dodgy platform boots evil

I am under strict instructions from Liz not to list my adult injuries as she thinks they will frighten people off lol, but i am off work recovering from my 13th operation as we speak.
If anyone wants to know how well i still function however please feel free to contact us at ...................................
Why have sex with a stranger when you can make luv to a friend,

Two visits to A&E as an was four years ago when I admitted myself with "pulled chest muscles" which turned out to be a heart attack. So I now have a "zipper club" scar on my chest from the resulting quadruple heart by-pass op. Second was this year when a concrete garage beam fell on my head and split it open.

Apart from a four inch scar I`ve been assured that it knocked absolutely no more sense into me at all :giggle:
The only injury I've had in adulthood is to my bank balance!
Other than that, no physical ones lol
Thankfully I have tamed my clumsiness some what since my childhood! (I'm still as clumsy, I'm just better at saving myself from serious injury lol)
I fractured my elbow 2 years ago when rushing out of a room and smacking my arm on the door frame. It feckin killed!
Also my cat thinks he's a Jack Russel and attacks the post when it drops through the letter box. I was on the phone and forgot not to pick the mail up until he'd done his thing, I reached down and he sunk his teeth into my hand and of course I pulled my hand away rather sharply.
It resulted in a deep 2 inch cut going from my wrist into the plam of my hand. Needed several stitches and a tetanus jab.
I stubbed my little toe the other day. Most painful thing in the world. lol
Seriously though - I've been lucky as an adult.
Numerous scars from coming off my mountain bike.
Did my wrist in a while back, but nowt serious.
As I said, Lucky.
*Him*
Adult injuries... Well..to start...a 3 inch scar in my thigh when I slipped with a knife trying to cut a piece of plastic and stabbed myself (knew I should have used a hobbie knife rather than a Bowie knife.. )
Then there was Karate for 12 years...
Broken right hand
Broken left hand
Broken right arm
6 stiches in eyebrow
broken nose (several times)
big toe nail ripped out (that hurt more than the bones!)
spilt lip-4 stiches
But it was a 'non-contact' sport..... confused
After that, I started motorcycle racing so I could really break some bones!!

Nothing major to report here - only bruised ribs after falling from a motorbike, over 20 years ago now.
i once split my head wide open....but the most painful bit was the nurse shaving my head around the wound before they stitched me up!

dont know about swingingheaven !!!! sounds more like doctors heaven with you lot. :giggle:
Let me count the scars:
Burns on both wrists (many) from touching the oven shelves as I take something out.
A long burn on my right hand from the frying pan (I was trying to wipe up a spill while I was cooking)
A ganglion from doing weights wrongly - removed in a fascinating op I was awake for.
Slipped disc when picking up a sock from the wash basket. Better now after taking up cycling.
Trapped nerve in my neck (C3) from sitting in the freezing draft from the aircon in the cinema - not diagnosed for 7 weeks of agony - now kept at bay by lots of good posture and Ibuprofen.
Never broken anything though biggrin
