Ive just been upstairs to do some cleaning.. Hoovered all round and gone into my daughters bedroom to see what she was doing... Upon that... I saw her advent calendar unopened!!!
Confused i thought... sure its the 3rd of december today.. confused
So i said to her... "Are you not opening this then, its the 3rd today??"
Where she looked at me puzzled and replied...
"Oh, am I suppost to??!!!"

My inlaws sent off for a traditional advent calendar from one of the national papers. When it arrived they proudly presented it to my daughter, who immediately informed them that "proper" advent calendars are supposed to have chocolate behind the windows! Who says today's kids are spoiled! rolleyes
there is nowt wrong with advent calendars.....two years ago i was bought a man utd one and it was brill..i was excited each day....
last year i was bought a Simpsons advent calendar and the days alternated between pices of chocolate and jigsaw pieces that eventually made up a magnetic fridge jigsaw....on the the evening of me going away for xmas..... my holiday partner and i finished the remaining days of chocolate and then made up the fridge jigsaw before we went on holiday for xmas....and today it is still on the fridge door...
once a child. always a child....
