Could anyone please advise? we currently use MSN Messenger very infrequently, 13 y/o daughter also uses this on a shared laptop and has the habit of adding programmes without consultation!! we discovered last night that the look of MSN was not the usual and is now ASW Messenger Plus live! does anyone else us this? is this less safe than the regular MSN? and does anyone else know what creating skins is about which she seems into, must be getting old as the the only skins I know about you put tobacco in!

and you have to be invited to it so someone she knows has done so if this is the correct site.
As for skins these are background which you can have on your text screen etc.
Could be a pop band,beach,footbal club anything.
I dont know the content of the asw site because i have not been there.I asked one of my sisters kids if they had heard of it and they had so it must be something school kids use to im not 100% sure on this.
Asw messenger live maybe a addon for windows messenger so all the site contacts are accessible.
Again if its a plug in for windows messenger you can remove it via the add/remove programs section of windows control panel.

It's as safe as any other IM system. Still need to be selective about who has your addy etc. (especially for younger people)
