well for the first time since I turned forty ( which was`nt last week) I have not had an alchoholic drink for three straight days. whether that was as a drink during dinner or as a nightcap. which leads me to now believe I have accepted my middle age confused OR THE DRINKS CABINET IS EMPTY .does this now mean I will start wearing Val Doonican cardigans wear tartan slippers , start smoking a pipe ooops smoking ban permitting.............HELP
If you can remember Val Doonican, you're middle aged anyway.

You can still have fun. The main thing is pacing yourself so you know where and when to push your limits. cool

cheers H........not the uplifting comment I expected mad
Sorry but if you expect to live to 80, then middle age is 40, is it not?
It's strange how, the older you get, the older you think middle aged is. Ask a teenager and they'd say 40, ask a 40 year old and they'd say 55.
It's all in the mind.

Thanks H I'm now safe in the knowlage that I'm pretty close to middle aged my self
i havent had a drink for ten years... not boasting...
it was a necessity...
but seriously, those slippers are very, verrry comfortable.
advice:
get some middle age in early...
then there's room for yet another *second childhood*

Can someone point out where need to go to buy a " I dont want a drink switch?" Oh and a set of instructions that I can understand........ dont suppose they sell " I dont want sex" buttons too do they... alternatively, close up and personal tuition would be welcomed
which switch or *button* would tuition be prefered to start with?
as for instructions... well... as with flat-pack-furniture... I find it best to simply lay everything out... and then just get busy... see what comes out of it!

Well how about start at the bottom and work up? or shall we go top down????
(likes the idea of laid flat and seeing what comes out! )
either practice, I feel, can have a satisfactory outcum...
starting at the Bottom has my interest.. most certainly!
and yes... Laid Flat... as work progresses, the job in hand takes shape, ond other positions may be required...
or requested!(?)
I need a drink

the ice may come in handy too... for tutorial purposes ... you understand!

er no????? dunno
can you explain???? rotflmao
Damn!
errmmm... I was hopeing you werent going to ask that...
now then, let me think...
ah yes...
well.. practicing with these on/off switches, without the aid of a manual/set of instructions (I think the *Lay-flat, and see what comes up* approach has been adopted)...
they potentially could get rather warm... and not wishing spontneous combustion... cooling agents should be employed on request, or at the descretion aid/assistant.
However... the *see what comes up* shouldnt be delayed indefinately... doncha thnk?

I was saying the very same thing to a friend the other day. When you're a teen, 30s is old, in your 30s, 50s is old. When you reach my age, there's NO middle age. Just young ( 20s and 30s ) and older ( 50s + ) with 'mature' in the middle.
