to avoid the complication that jags' VERY large glasses introduces, i have standardised all measures in line with yer pint of Stella = 5.2 %! it should be noted that 3 pints of stella is roughly equivalent to 4 pints of average watered down Fosters / XXX / Carlsberg etc so occasional adjustments may be necessary! bottles of Pinot Grigio or a nice complex Cabernet Sauvignon are still under investigation, and conclusions re: Bacardi and Coke are reserved for future experimentation. any help in this area would be greatly appreciated!
i am still conducting my research on a daily basis!
through the course of my experiments, i have found that :-
no alcohol = not funny / not confident enough to attempt anything witty, or a combination of the two, so don't even go there!
2-3 pints = just about right.
3-6 pints = verging on "neil, one or two things we're maybe a bit funny, but the rest was utterly random, and only you got it, so it's round about time to STFU!"
6-9 pints = "neil, you're beginning to sound hysterical, and you just murdered an innocent little thread, that was about to blossom into youthful vigour, till you came along!"
9-12 pints = "neil that might just possibly have been funny, but we have no way of knowing, cos you can't spell, you're incoherent, is your head resting on the bloody keyboard?"
further experimentation of various kinds will no doubt allow to me finish off me thesis on this subject! help from the likes of WBB as ya resident scientific researcher type person would be rewarded with sexual favours!
i am also investigating a technical solution to the problem of being disinhibited enough to fall about pissing meself during the 6-12 pint stage! various strategies have been attempted, with no great success. there is further work yet to be done! i shall keep you informed of progress.
if anyone thinks that i have rather too much time on me hands, or i'm madder than a box of frogs, or possibly mental as a squirrel in some other kind of container, that too would be a valid contribution that will somehow be statistically incorporated into the final PhD thingie.
BTW, this thread = 2 pints of stella and a small vodka and lemonade, which is a borderline case, and could go either way!
