Hi guys,
I only recently discovered this site, and after discussions with Hubs decided we'd like a go at swinging together (I've done it already, but only once). Thing is, I don't know the best way to go forward. We're all revved up and don't know what to do!!! I thought maybe we should just find a Club nearby and go to it, but then I was nattering to someone online who thought answering the ad's was better than Clubs.
I'd really appreciate some advice, perhaps going to a Munch would be the best first step, I don't know.

I am sure loads of people will give you loads of different "advice" all based around what worked for them.
What do you feel, deep down, would suit you best? Normally that initial, deep down feeling is the way to go.
I know for me - going to club seems a bit daunting. I have had good experiences through the ads - but it was very nerve wracking meeting people that I had chatted to on email - and phone, but still didn't really "know". And I have enjoyed meeting people off here that I had the chance to meet at a munch first. At least the munches give you the chance to meet people you "click" with straight away - and even if you don't "click" with anyone - at least you've still had a great social night out!
Sorry if this doesn't make too much sense - I'm high on prescription painkillers right now. Thinking I may just go and join Mattmoleman 'cos he seems to be in the same boat as me

We do all our swinging at clubs , we find the club enviroment very relaxing and you dont feel like you have to do anything . We arrange meets at clubs too , if we dont hit it off then both parties can go off and find others to "play " with . At the end of the day its what YOU feel most happy and comfortable with . Yeah I like the sound of doing that actually, I never thought to arrange a meet actually at a Club :doh: One of my worries was us finally meeting up with someone and not clicking, that would be really awkward

we met a couple at a pub once , it was pretty clear to all of us it wasn`t going to happen , we sat and drank and tried to talk , all very awkward, and we went our seperate ways, so we vowed never to do that again . So we go to clubs on spec or for arranged meets ,works for us !

at least at a club everybody has the same expectations, you dont go to a swingers club looking for lessons in blowing glass do you
Serious tho, as people have the same expectations its easier to relax with everybody. I went to my first munch and afters party just 9 days ago, the munch was fun and the afters party I dreaded.
Arrived and the dread died, people were no different, yes they all had an expectation of having sex,but it was so ................... relaxed an atmosphere , hell, if I had known just how pressure free it was, I would never have worried so much I couldnt sleep for the 2 days before

The best thing to do for me, was to join in on the forums and then go to a Munch when I was ready to meet people.....its a really relaxed and fun place to be and you get to meet people that you've been chatting to for ages......it's really good fun.
Then when you're ready you can start going to clubs and then meet people from the Ads....

I've dabbled in the chat room a little bit, and enjoyed a couple of nice chats to people, but mainly been nagged for either cyber or phone sex :crazy:
I'm gunna post on here for a while, get to know a few peeps and then 'appen arrange a meet in a Club, and see what happens from there :smile2:
