We had an INSET day today at school, all about assessment for learning.
We were introduced to some terminology, which was new to some of the staff. One of the terms was 'snowballing' and when asked if anyone had heard the term, I was just about to put my hand up. Then I realised that the definition I'd give might not be the one they were looking for redface
Anyone else made a similar mistake, confusing vanilla terms with swinging terms?

The only one that springs to mind immediately is when a waiter offered me some Vanilla Cheesecake at a pub before one of the Munches :shock:

Reminds me of something that happened only earlier this evening.
Went to pick up my son from Cubs, and the leader was filling in his forms, asking me for relevant information.....
She then asked me what MY interests were...... took me all my self control to not say the very first thing that sprung to mind.....
