Question for piccy techies please.
If you have a pic on your pc and you alter it to prevent others recognising you, can it be undone? I mean, if you paint over a face with the spray thingy, can it be undone by others?
Answers on here or by pm please.
Fang Q !! lol
Mal

I think it can Mal, but only if you use real paint!
I believe that if you use a tool such as a scraper or a pair of scissors it is possible to scrape the paint off, but it has to be done gently! confused :? :? :?
Hope that helps!! wink
BILKO!!!!! smackbottom:smackbottom::smackbottom::smackbottom:
Mal, has the picture been flattened??
Kitty xx
that only works on the tippex on your screen - you muppet!! lol
If it can be altered, it will mean I'll have to grow my fringe to cover my face for those 'all important' pics!! (That may take some time! redface )

To add to SexyStephs wprds. Yes it is possible to ammend these images to remove any additions like paint/spray or distortion. To do this however does take time and a lot of skill from somebody very familiar with Photoshop (or any other graphics packages).
There are many ways of removing your face completely so no ammount of tamporing (excluding just pasting a face on the space left) will bring it back.
The easiest and most common sense would be to simply get the scissors tool out and cut away all of your face. You need to delete this part from the image.
Once that is done you need to select all (ctrl + a) and paste the faceless picture into a new frame.
From this new frame you can be safe in the knowledge that you will remain hidden. You may want to add some colour where your face was otherwise it will look a bit silly. lol
All of this can be done in paintbrush so you really don't need a good graphics package.
Any other help just let me know.
That's what I thought Matt!! confused :? :? :? :? lol

Mal - regardless of the program used to modify the image (Fireworks, PaintShopPro, whatever) if the image is saved as a JPG (best for photos), BMP or GIF format then no the change cannot be undone as any layers will be flattened during the save process. If the image is saved in Photoshop PSD format or PNG (portable network graphic) then yes it is possible to undo the change.
hope this helps

OOO Debs goes into a sweat now
well to really be sure, you could just cover the bits on the original image before scanning or just take a digital pic minus head ( I'm sure lots of people have mastered this art of cutting peoples heads off in photoraphy !)
