Am SO pissed off with Dell

Ordered hundreds £££ of IT equipment - waited in for 10 hours - no delivery and they've all gone home for the weekend :x :x :x :x :x :x

I have had 2 Dells , a notebook , and this one , stick with it Jags they are quality machines , and they do actaully offer some after sales service, unlike one bucket shop where I saw the proprieter assualt a customer !

I know they do - am using a Dell as we speak but it's such crap that they make you wait until m. for delivery and then, when you ring up at m. you find out they all went home for the weekend at m. SHITE service!! mad :x

Thanks chaps - shite Dell combined with my leaking roof has made me specially mad, oh, and the odd twatty PM too. Must be the moon is off kilter with Venus in transit and makes for let's annoy Jags week. mad :x

I think all companies are the same with deliveries - slap-dash little oiks!
I must say though, when I ordered my PC last year, Dell delivered it at exactly the time they said they would cool
This is the second delivery they've messed up - hence the 'over reaction'!! Think I pissed off their receptionists though (all three!!) - had some fun there though.
OK.. no more.. Dell is shite and we live with it - great products rubblish service.!

I have a Sony Vaio and also have an Acer and the best service I have had was from........Acer, DHL collected the laptop for repair at hrs( pm for you WBB) on the Wedensday and it was returned fully repaired at 11 on Friday Morning.
My Dell desktop is a fab machine and my Sony Vaio notebook is a fab machine too - and but the hard work of the lovely (but absent) Nallers they now talk to each other, which is a bonus!
He's now got my mobile talking to the desktop (mostly) and the mobile talking to the notebook, my pda talking to the desktop, the notebook AND the mobile and me lost in the middle of Northumbria with a flat camera battery (camera not talking to anyone) and the TomTom malfunctioning at a critcial moment!
Oh, and the desktop's 'bubble is secure' which is, I believe, a good thing! confused :shock:

You are right to be pissed off, and it is shocking that we are so used to digusting service that we become ready to accept poor service .

Well - the Dell MAY have been able to plug the leaky roof if it had been delivered when it was promised!! mad :x Lateral thinking is great though!!
We ARE used to bad service in this country and seem to accept it - drives me wild with anger.
Dell are very well know for really crap customer service.
If you phone them up re an item you've bought which hasn't arrived quite often they will charge your credit card a 2nd time! Some of the stories I've heard and read about their customer service are frightening.
When their automated system works everything is hunky dory. When it fails no one at Dell seems to be able to deal with it and the problems just multiply.
It seems that to get good service from Dell you have to Pay by cheque (sent by Recorded Delivery) so they can't charge your credit card multiple timesBe a large company (but even they have fallen foul of their customer service).
Jags, If they have failed to turn up twice and you've had to take time off work to wait in for them I would send them a bill for the lost time. I believe there is a precedent which means they have to pay you under these sort of circumsatnces.
Hi John - there is a law in UK something about taking time off work and waiting for workers/ deliverers to turn up. When I had my new PC system delivered from Dell last year it took THREE broken delivery promises, a threat from me to cancel the order and an out-of-hours delivery before it arrived.
This is worse cos it happened on Friday and Dell workers finish at m. Madness!!
I order a vast array of pc components from numerous suppliers who all give excellent service until it gets to the carrier. And the most frustrating problem is that they are all as crap as each other, whether its DHL , Initial City Link (the worst) or whoever they all suck. If someone had the capital to start a carrier company that actually did what they promised they would clean up !

You're probably right - my RANT should be against the courier company. BUT Dell haven't got any customer service reps working at the weekend!!! Nobody... what kind of customer service is that???

Ordered a Dell machine in November and it arrived in January! paid for in November too. I am still waiting for my Compensation by way of a digital camera, can never get hold of them in ireland. Mate of mine is in it and got his dell rep to look at it for me, i got a forwarded internal email from dell, 9 people were emailed about my late order and not one of them wanted to do anything about it. I printed it off and posted it to the Customer services manager parked private and confidential, i havent even heard back from him! - Dell = good machine, Shit servie. They were on watchdog just after i ordered it too mad
