I used to live in holland.. Very Very Very nice and relaxing atmosphere.
I was on a working holiday there for 6 months. At one point, we were living in Uterecht or it may have been Arnhem but a I remeber a few of us walking past this old drug rehab centre to get into town to have a few beers and some pool after work, we could see a few shady looking characters hang around outside, and a few that looked like illegal hookers not too far away from them.
Used to being in england, we expected to be approached to be sold some dodgy drug or hastled or even mugged. We carried on walking, regardless and sure enough, when we reached them, we were approached. We all expected trouble.
A rather unsavoury character approached us and asked if we were tourists, It ws at this point that we expected to see a knife or something.
I spoke up and said we were. He asked if we were interested in some drugs (wont mention specific types) We all said no, and to our amazement, Nothing happened... not a thing.. he just said okay fair enough and carried on about his business. Told us to have a good night too.
Well, if we could have taken a picture of our looks.
Lol
Holland is a place I would deffinately consider moving too. I miss it dearly some times. Had some great times out there (Yes, without hookers too) Mostly working and beer, pool and a pizza after work.
NOTE: Steer clear of Ham and Cheese, No offence to dutch people as Ham Kaas (If I remembered how to spell that correctly, meaning Ham and Cheese) Is quite popular over there, only my work agency thought it would be good to have it on the menu, every meal time.
Hence the beer, pool and pizza after work. lol. PS: Beer Tip.. Drink Amstel, Lovely smooth pure almost chemical free, Nice tase.. No hangover in the mornings!
Great place, Great People, Great Atmosphere.
Would you beleive, Never actually made it to Amsterdam though

Holland is a great country, wish we could move there, were last in Amsterdam about 5 weeks ago, went into one of the "coffee shops" asked the owner to roll a smooth, mild one for Shel that will make her randy!! Don't know what he put in it, but it worked a treat, she was rampant for two solid days. We were at fun4two next day so that worked out well.
Got to praise the Dutch Railways, so clean and efficient!!
It was our first time at fun4two, what a place, out of this world, never been anywhere so good. Will be going back next year for sure!!
