Achievements: I have made some great friends. I am now an ex-nail biter. I've had amazing sexual experiences.
Lessons: I have realised I am good at my job. I have learned not to let my guard down, not even a little - as Prince says "the beautiful ones they hurt u, every time"
It's been an up and down year.
Ahievements: i have qualified as a chartered accountant, i have and am taking a qualification in cake decoration, i have learned how to use my sewing machine, read patterns and create things. I have managed to keep my job when we have has so many redundancies.
Lessons: family are the most important things along with friends, life is hard and throws bad things at you and puts obstacles in your way, learning to be a strong human being and dealing with whatever sh*t gets thrown at you, which this year has been shed loads the same as last year, and still wanting to wake up in the morning. There are lots who profess to be friends but there are few who really are.
I should add... I was initiated into the cult of squirt this year too :giggle:
That time does fly by so quickly, and the saying that friends come into your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime is soooo true.
My children teach me new things every day and that I must never forget to see things through their eyes.
I have met some incredible, fun, unique, funny, colourful (!) but above all close friends here in SH and I'm looking forward to meeting and making more friends.
To keep my wits about me, without being too cyncical, but that previous experiences hold good lessons in life as well as bad and to move forward with the good.
Oh and that I can actually bake wink
i think the one thing i have learned this past year is that just as you think that life cant get any worse ... it does ... and then even more worse ( im sure thats not proper english but after the crap year iv had i dont care)
my family, friends and me have had to endure lots of ill health, accidents, death and legal trouble
i will be glad to see the back of 2009
im actually the same as you 2 danne-gary theres too much going on for me and i will be glad to see the back of this year and the next year thats coming soon
the most ive had to look forward too is meeting alot more nice people and looking for friends and finding them having a great time at meets and other things
