I have noticed that a thread i was involved in has disappeared completely from the forum and feel that we should all be given a clear and concise explaination as to why this has occured from the person who made the decision.
Time,effort,thought and personal feelings were put into the thread on all parts left and right, yet obviously one person with the power chose to delete the thread without any consideration to this.
I thought we were all adults living in the Uk and Europe, not South Korea or an Iron Block country where opinions are censored, and many people pay money to be part of this web site as adults to be what looks like be treated as children.

If it's the one I think it is, I'd say it was removed because there were some racist and/or abusive comments in it from several members. And rightly so, in my opinion - no need for that on here.
If you're that bothered, why not drop admin a support ticket to ask?
NO i think in a public forum where many have contributed to a topic, a public response from the people or person backed up by good reasoning is only fair.
Upto and including page 7 of the topic last night there was nothing that warranted its removal, indeed at one point it was locked, but the mod who locked it very reasonably after discussion saw no reason not to let it go on.
Asi was not online after 5pm yesterday and may have missed the topic getting out of hand is why i am asking for an explaination.

If you think that the thread had nothing in it that warranted it`s removal, maybe you should read the AUP.

You are right, this is an adult site so people should act like adults. If their behaviour turns into something that I would not expect from my children then they deserve to have their topic removed until things cool down. Act like adults and get treated as adults, act like children and be treated as children.

It's not often stuff gets removed, jumptoit: locked, yes but not removed. If it has been removed then it probably contravened the AUP. Simple really.

Moderators do not have the time or means to explain all that they do - because they do one hell of a lot.
