We're regulars to Bristol Gardens and can give you a bit of a fuller review...
We go on either Saturday or Sunday evenings when it's a couples only night (after ). he cost is £25. It's worth checking out their website - I believe all other times are "anyone can go" which usually means lots of males!!
It depends on what you're after - downstairs is purely for steam rooms/jaccuzzis etc..this is made very implicit. A couple were recently thrown out for engaging with each other in a steam room. The downstairs section is used by a lot of different people and only a few of them venture upstairs. Downstairs is very clean, there is usually one member of staff cleaning, checking the water, etc...
Upstairs features a set of rooms off a dogleg corridor, most of which are lockable from the inside, 2 of them have no door and one lockable room is large enough to accommodate 3 couples. There is one large room with no door. So you can pretty much find a room for what you want.
There is a floor between the two zones with a tv room and a room where you can have snakcs and chill out. The staff are amazing, really friendly. The vibe there is really nice too..
Make no mistake, this isn't Skinnys (skinnydippers - a local swinging party). Many people use the spa section (downstairs one) for exactly that. Generally there are few couples under 40. The swinging aspect is really something which is secondary to the spa.
We really like it there - we use it primarily for the spa to complement our gym regime...as such we go there expecting little - but there is the obvious titilation.
People may be able to give you better accounts of Skinnydippers, we've got chatting to several couples and the feeling we got from them is that Skinnys is undergoing a few problems. One couple mentioned the drug problem which is endemic there....but we've not been so cannot say.
It really is a Spa first, so don't expect action downstairs or the dynamic of a hardened swinger "experience"...but we hope you find this useful!
