Cold feet.
...or what I used to get; orange, nuts and a message to start the hunt for the other presents.
At Lidl they sell some yummy spiced ginger biscuits and other German Christmas food stuffs. Call me biased. silly
I'd say don't look for any real kit unless you know they want it. Fill the stockings with sweets, or if you want them to stay in shape, with fruit. ;) It is the gesture that counts, not the content ... I hope. biggrin
My all-time favourite, though, are the Christmas biscuits my mum bakes. There is just nothing like them. Involves a load of work and we always used to help as kids but it is something more personal than a quick trip to the shop.

Bugger!
They were being sold off at Woolies for £11:99 . . .
Guess I'll have to take them back, but Santa, if you're reading this, I've been a very, very good boy this year. ;) :lol2:

Ahhh but woolies 'allegedly' are having a snap 50% off day tomorrow, so not all might be lost.
Hang on in there easy!! :bounce:
You can't go wrong with vouchers, we swear by them now.

I go down that route for most of the adults (and teenage kids) I buy for now
they don't have a present to open as such but come boxing day get more for their money than I would spend

if you are going down the voucher route, please be careful that u get vouchers from somewhere thats stable at the minute, so many shops like gap/woolies/etc are going to the wall and people who have vouchers for them are losing out.
Amazon have their 6 best selling paperbacks for each at the mo.
There is a pretty cool science-y but silly one and also a couple of decent gorey looking thrillers.
I'm buying a few for folk.

There's actually some interesting stuff in it.

Great. Yes it is - am buying a few copies. Good to hear it is ok!
I found some handwarmers and got 3 for £10. They are sachets of gel (non-leaking sachets) with a little metal clicker in them. You click the metal thing and the gel warms up and goes opaque. Lasts for ages. You set it back to clear by sticking it in boiling water for 3 mins. Totally reusable. Great for football fans, fishermen, joggers, doggers :giggle:
Goodness knows how they work but they do. Cute colours too.
Our stocking always have the same stuff.
Book/DVD
Interesting thing (handwarmers as above)
Puzzle (Hawkins Bazaar)
Thornton's Xmas choc
Satsuma
A few nuts and Quality Street
Anything else if it looks a bit thin.
I can do it for under £10 - but it's tempting to overspend. I try to keep the presents organised so I can check what I have for each and don't get too many for one and not enough for another biggrin
I wouldn't get out of bed for £10............ rolleyes
You get your stocking IN bed in our house. Or at least on the bed. biggrin

Have you actually tried to set them back to normal to use again? I got some of them ... a 2pack and used them both once and no matter what I did they wouldn't go back to normal to be re-used. And yes I did follow the instructions to the letter! rolleyes
Ok I just read this after passing by a a 99p store on Tuesday and spending £46 and a half quid!! :-( in a pund shop no less :  You just want to see the crap I bought  I really do have a love hate thang going with these places. I'm wondering if there is such a thing as Poundland addicts anon
