Thank god for that!! :shock:
I had NTL working on the junction box outside my house today so my broadband and cable TV kept going off. I went outside to see the engineer and was told that the work would be completed in half an hour. mad

After 40 minutes I tried again and was convinced that the engineer had done something to my connection because it was so slow. I was just building up to making a snotty phone call to NTL when I decided to try once more. Glad I did because then I saw this thread, so now it all makes sense.

I wouldn't have thought you would have needed to run the cron job to check the MySQL database as often as hourly.
