Does anybody have any old sayings from grandparents or great grandparents or maybe even parents, depending on your age!
Mine had loads like:
Whats for you wont go by you (if somethings meant for you then youll have it!)
Let them hung as they grow (let someone alone!)
and when I used to say "I'm fed up" she sused to say "well youll just need to get fed up all over again!"
So here I am fed up and trying to get fed up all over again confused Whatever that really means??
Have any of you got any old sayings or auld wifes tales?
My Granny always used to say:
When you put your clothes on back to front, or inside out - leave them.
If you turn them round you will be dooooooomed I tell ye, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED sad :( :(

Usual ones like
'There will be tears before bed time'
'You are cutting your nose off to spite your face'
But will never forget hearing Dad tipsily giving my teenage brother a little nugget of advice in the form of;
'Ya don't look at t'mantelpiece son, when yer pokin t'fire!'
Big big tellin off from me ma...
