So Paris Hilton wants to name her (as yet unconceived) first daughter London. How many Hiltons are there if she has more than one unfortunate child? And did she not learn anything from the Beckhams let alone her own parents?
So my question is, what is the stupidest name you've heard of someone giving their beloved new baby?
I used to work in hospital pathology labs, and always remember one mother naming her daughter (born early nineties) Kylie Charlene  Or is it just me?
I know of a girl named Hero
And a baby was named Houndslow a little while back.
What are people thinking?
Me personally I prefer the older names, but not ones that are really common.
There are a few modern day names that I have liked the sound of.

For the sake of her daughter, I thank Jebus that Ms Hilton isn't an Aresnal fan. If she's going to be naming kids after her Daddy's hotel locations, will she call one of them "Junction 10, M25"?

There are a few modern day names that I have liked the sound of.

Shakepsearian heroine - well, heroine-ish, of "Much Ado About Nothing" and winsomely played in the film by Kate Beckinsale.
In Greek legend, Hero is the tragic lover of Leander.
She was a priestess of Aphrodite who dwelt in a tower in Sestos, at the edge of the Hellespont. Leander, a young man from Abydos on the other side of the strait, fell in love with her and would swim every night across the Hellespont to be with her. One stormy winter night, Leander lost his way, and was drowned. Hero threw herself from the tower in grief and died as well.
The 16th-century British poet Christopher Marlowe wrote a mythological poem after this story, titled "Hero and Leander".
So I guess that name's been around a fair while. I quite like it.
We have friends that have called their children after cars, they have
Mercedes,Bentley and Sierra
Fank Gawd thy didnt have a Robin Reliant lol
It has been pointed out to me that my first 3 children are apparently named after trains in 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. This was entirely unintentional. I think the other 2 are ok but a bit out of touch with it now they're older.
when i worked in a shop years ago we had a customer whos name was richard bird, better known as dickie bird.
Also if i hadnt of married my husband, and married the guy i was with before him, my name would of been Nat West.
