Bad backs and swinging !

I have had a bad back for two years and had an operation in Jan 10 it was a posterior lumbar interbody fusion. Just wondered if anyone else has had one done and how long did it take to get back into the swing of things if you pardon the pun lol. I feel my confidence has been knocked with it all and worried about beginning to play again. Its the fem that had the op.

Mr. Stuff has a bad back so I can really sympathise with you, and hope that your op was a success. He has not made that progression yet, but the steroid injections he has had are not working so I fear that the next step may well be surgery. I will, therefore, watch this post with interest. I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope you will be back in the swinging saddle very soon kiss

Thanks for that is does help to know others with the same problem as you do feel isolated in some ways. Hope Mr stays pain free for a while I had the injections done twice and a de neveration which did not work but can give you the number of a brilliant surgeon if you get to that stage.

I had a back problem some years ago, but I was very lucky as I "grew" out of it. The point is I can sympathise with what you are going through. To be honest, I don't think there is an actual answer, as only the victim him/her self knows how it feels and what they can do.
You perhaps need a swing partner(s) who are understanding and you choose the positions and have a pre-arranged signal that means STOP - PULL OUT etc.

Yes hubby is very understanding and we manage very well just other people I am worried about I suppose I was very flexible before and I am worried it wont be the same.

I can sympathise with your feelings.
When you have to adapt your sexual behaviours with your partner to accommodate physical limitations it can be difficult in my experience. Then, as you describe, you wonder how accepting other people will be. I have found that the nicest swingers take the people they swing with as they find them and a good time can be had by all.

I feel I must mention that there is a Rocky Horror themed club social we are attending in the midlands shortly.

Mrs Gu had a bad back many years ago that required major surgury to repair and she's never 'fully' recovered from it but we've adapted and nolonger :swingingchair: from the Chandeliers we now rollabout on the floor instead. :crazy: nobodies yet noticed the difference! :rascal:
