Dogging
You may have seen Balderdash & Piffle on TV. Last week they did a piece on dogging. They came up with it starting off as crawling about on all fours trying to look at strangers having sex in the sand dunes.
I have come up with other possibilities;
An excuse, 'I am just taking the dog for a walk', and then meeting someone.
A pack activity.
and one a bit vulgar, doing a bitch.
Does anyone know the truth?
Does anyone have a word for debate?
I find the show interesting and annoying in equal measures. I am fancinated by words and their meanings but I think the show fails ignite that.
The word in the last show that grabbed me was 'merkin'. I hadn't ever come across it before so was very interested. It's a pubic wig. I was puzzled by how the presenter claimed to have a diamond encrusted merkin. Surely that isn't a wig but a hat or cover. If I wore a knitted toupe people would call it a bobble-hat. Guess the meaning has moved on again.
Always thought it was rhyming slang; A Dogger Bank

I was told about a Decoration with bells on it, could that be called a merkin?

There must be more to dogging than banking.
How about plonking, does anyone know where that came from.
What's the past tense of 'swinging' confused
Should you say:
"Last night I swung"
"Last night I swinged"
"Last night I swinginged"
I will go for swung, possibly swunged. No swung sounds best.
Def, swung.
