No sales here today as all the shops are shut same as every Sunday. Absolutely brilliant and just as it used to be in the UK, nothing to do with religion as far as I am concerned but a day for families to spend quality time together rather than rushing to the shops that are open on six other days which is surely enough time to get things done.

And no massive queues at the checkouts either like our last experience at Tesco's 3 Christmases ago... wink
No-one here seems to be bothered about doing a month's shopping in one day as the shops are barely closed over the Christmas period!
Most places are advertising more than 50% off  Most started before Christmas though so bet some of the real bargains are already gone  I was doing a bit of late Christmas shopping on the 23rd and picked up a dress for Mrs Tweeky original price I got it for £57
A bargain's only a bargain if you intended to buy the thing anyway. Otherwise it's just another cost.
Sadly (or luckilly?) I don't need anything particularly at the moment apart from a new shower etc in the en suite. It may be worth a poke around in B&Q this week.
I was gonna say that foxy, sales never seem to be happening when I need to buy something.

I was buying one anyway.
