I've been looking forward all day to a nice soak in a nice hot bath. So what did I end up with? A half-tub of barely lukewarm water. It was VILE!
Not too sure what went wrong... the water-heater had been on for a couple of hours beforehand, and when I washed my hands downstairs beforehand the water was piping hot. And when I ran some water into my bath to clean it later, it was piping hot. But at the precise moment I needed it, the water was barely warm.
Oh well, maybe next week's bath will be better.
lol like something out of the 18 centuary.. sunday bath night! lol
In the 18th century the bath would be cold, and taken in front of the rest of the family. Either that, or pails of boiling hot water would be delivered by a nubile young serving wench... and if it wasn't hot, she'd have to be punished. smackbottom Yummm... makes me wish I lived two hundred years ago... lol
Plus, in the 18th century I could pass my scar off as a duelling scar duel as opposed to a vacuum cleaner scar.

We used to have baths in front of the fire in a tin bath. An that was in the late 1960s.

I admire his honesty. I tell people I was circumcised as a baby.
As the bath was cold he was obviously just trying to hoover himself clean wink

Maybe he tried out a 'never any loss in suction' version of vacuum cleaner & it sucked up his ................
Necklace (bet ya thought I was gonna say penis wink ) & cut his neck thus resulting in a visit to the hozzie & an impending scar!

So you must've got one of those new-fangled plastic tubs now. Wow!
I've got an old oil barrel under the rain chute. I hate having to crack the ice to dip into it in the winter

The vacuum cleaner scar unfortunately doesn't have an interesting story behind it; I just fell and impaled myself on the vacuum cleaner when I was just a puppy. I don't even remember the incident myself, but I noticed the scar when I started to shave and my mother told me that's where it came from.
Haven't had a bath for years now... biggrin
Always wondered why I was still single rolleyes
