Batman Cookies

As the parent of a 2 year old I am duty bound to find amusing and educational activities for said 2 year old to partake in on boring and rainy Sunday afternoons... Today I decided that we would have a go at baking the Batman Cookie mix that had been in the cupboard for a couple of weeks. Now, I'm not the best cook in the world --- actually, I'm a crap cook --- but the instructions looked easy so I thought Batman Cookies were well within my limited capabilities...... cool

"Put mixture in bowl, add 5 teaspoons of water.. mix and hey presto.. cookie mix smile

....... roll out, cut shapes with Batman cutter and bake for 8 mins :) .... when cool mix lemon icing powder with 2 teaspons of water, ice cookies, then sqeeze already mixed blackberry icing on top in interesting, Bat-like shapes..... :)
No problemo......... 8-)
Picture on box showed what finished cookies were meant to look like....

Anyone want to come round for dinner tomorrow?

How to amuse a 2 year old.
Take them shopping to a big supermarket at the busiest time e.g Saturaday afternoon.
Sit 2 year old in trolley and set off on your monthly shop.
Fill trolley so that the 2 year old is uncomfortable
Bash other trollies that get in the way
Slap 2 year old every time it cries
Fun for all the family!

Yep yer batman cookies looks more like roadkill blue. How about some gingerbread men tommorrow....better still, just go with knocking up a cake mix and don't bother with the oven bit, can't beat a big bowl of cake mix and a wooden spoon, best bit.

from what I remember easy (my kids are grown up) the wooden spoon is for thrashing the kids with when they cry cos the greedy parent has scoffed the cake mix without telling them ......." the bowl is ready" redface

in reality, it just tastes better off the wooden spoon dunno

yes Bev and I'm very proud of them cos they managed it with fuck all help from me.

OH MY GOD! :shock: dunno

I got home from work today to find that the Confectionary Gods are truly against me..... sitting smugly next to the cans of baked beans and tomato sauce were.... wait for this.....
A packet of "Spiderman Blue Spider Buns" mix, and "Fimbles Tinkly Top Muffin Mix" :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

Said 2 year old is intent on making the Spiderman ones tomorrow :eeek:

Erm...... Blue......... why not try something less messy??????
A weather chart...... said 2 year old can cut out and colour in the Sun, Rain Cloud,
Rainbow etc...... hours of fun...
Alternatively.... start a dressing-up box... go to the local charity shop and buy some old stuff, hats, beads etc.. and have a dressing-up day... invite some of said 2 year old's friends over....
Whatever you do.... have fun.... they just don't stay that cute for long....

Actually, I didn't make them in the end, hence the reason why they look like they're meant to.... they taste good too :lol: .
