Was rushed in to hospital........with breathing probs!.......heres me thinking i had Asama rolleyes

all this time turns out i have chronic Bronchitis! :doh: ..no wonder i was feeling like shit!
Well thats it......... they told me if i have one more fag i will be in with server lung damage in 6 months! :eeek:
So fags have gone in the bin........ i have been given Strong penicillin which means i cannot have me normal bottle of wine at night... for over 14 bloody days!! thats past christmas :shock:

Get well soon Debs, thinking of you, just resort to my non drinking standby, have LOADS of fun and you don't need the wine type stuff...
Although I should not mention this, check with your pharmacy on drink n drug mix, you may find that you can drink 'moderately'. It depends on the exact drug you on, not qualified to advise you (although I married to someone who is but is asleep) but go to the pharmacy and check it out properly.

Good luck debs, I hope you make a fast and full recovery. :therethere:
I gave up smoking some years ago - my tip would be if you really want to stop make sure you tell everyone you know that you are giving up, mots people will be supportive even those who smoke.
We all have faith in you. It may help to think about what my 3 year old son calls cigarettes - "Cancer Sticks". Not a nice thought. sad

Well Debs, at least you know what's wrong, it's treatable and giving up smoking is in your hands (and you'll feel better for it in the end - God help Mrs Debs in the meantime though!!).

Poor Debs - that is just blummin awful news!
A similiar thing happened with my mum and she had to quit after 25 years of smoking. It's been about 14 years now since she had a cig.
I quit for 4 months last year and it's hard going at the time but it does get easier. You do right to stay away from pubs and other smokers - that was my downfall. Don't put yourself in a situation where you might be tempted.
Maybe Mr Debs could help you by trying to quit too - or would you end up killing each other??? At least, he shouldn't smoke near you - it's just not fair.
I often wonder whether it would take a serious health problem to make me quit for good.

If it helps try patches they ease the craving and work a treat,but good on yer for just chucking them i know how hard it can be biggrin

Just get some appletise you can pretend its sparkling wine at crimbo and im sure you can act pissed without the alcohol lol
