Can anyone remember how they made contact before the internet came along. Who can remember there 1st contact and how they made it?
Before the internet came along we watched dvd's, videos even, and the occasional mag for our porn. Meeting people could be done through the free ads, I met a few. The rest was exactly as it is now, you venture out into the world and get picked up by likeminded individuals.
loot ads was our starting point then a couple we never ever met told us about a club and then the madness realy took over out out every weekend some times all three night annd midweek at clubs and parties from northampton to brighton i dread to think how many miles we did in those days
our first parties were at basildon run by the late alan from eureekas then paradise in victoria oasis east ham forestgate skinnies at hemel ez in northampton then arousals in dunstable skinnies in brighton lick and our place for fun in london
plus a few weekends on the continent paradise ,fata morgana, fun 4two and some we dont recall
i actually think it all changed for the worst when the internet came in prior to that is was all a bit underground secret and exciting . A bit like the raves becoming superclubs
Contact magazines many of which are still being published and are readily available though I chatted to some friends who I saw advertising in a recent issue and they said the add was about 10 years old but still being used.
Some clubs were known to be a good meeting place for swingers one of the most
pirate radio station (swinging Radio England)
Nudist camps and Nudist beaches were and still are a place where people met
and apparently putting pampas grass in your front garden was used to tell people you were swingers
of course back then it was simply called wife swapping
We used Loot. It was a pretty painful process if I remember correctly. Find an ad that interests you, phone the mailbox number, leave a message and wait for them to get back to you.
What I do remember is that we were never let down in those days, if a meet was arranged all parties would turn up as agreed.....
