Before we joined this site, i never really thought about women in a sexual way. Now i seem to wonder about the "bi lifestyle" all the time. If you are bi, have you always known that you are, or did it seem to creep up on you when you were least expecting it? I think its a very sexy lifestyle but dont know if i could myself as i wouldnt know where to start. Apart from the obvious different physical aspects of being with a woman rather than a man, does it differ emotionally too?

Well I will give this some thought before I rush in with a reply.
But!!!!!
I always thought I was 100% gay until I met my exboyfriend when I was 19!
So I can imagine what it's like to think you are one 'thing' and then realise you may be another.

Hi
I describe myself as bi, I havent always known I was bi - sexual. As I said in a previous post, my ex boyfriend 'persuaded' me to take part in a 3some with another woman. I was extremely unsure and positive I wouldn't enjoy it. However, I did, a lot more then I ever expected to.
I don't know about the emotional aspect of being bi, as I havent actually had a relationship with a female. I have a 'special' friend who I see on a regular basis, and we also see each other non sexually. She is the first proper female friend I've had. So in that respect we are very emotionally attatched. But she also has a husband, who appreciates that I can give her something he can't, so he doesn't interfere.
Don't know if I've helped or not. But in my experience I suggest you try it, if thats what your thinking about, if you don't like it, you don't have to do it again. But be upfront with the person you chose to try it with. Theres nothing worse then finding out you were just an experiment!!!!
Best of luck

I sometimes wonder can we be many things at different times. Straight for a while then bi if we feel like it then maybe back to straight again. ( thats just how i could maybe feel) As we all know our thoughts and feelings change alot as we grow older. Does it hurt to change your mind about the things you want, does it confuse things. Or is variety really the spice of life.

Im sorry, my heads full of questions today. To the guys, would you be "bi" for your girlfriend if she wanted you to. Some men do like to see their girlfriends with another woman i just wonder would the favour be returned if the shoe was on the other foot.

Ps. Im not saying you should because i know for sure that joe wouldnt. Just being nosy again.

When I was younger I always felt there was a part of me missing, but I didn't know what that part was. As i got older I found I liked looking at other women and found them sexually attractive, although I wouldn't admit to it.
Then I had my first girl-girl experience & it felt so natural. With regards to knowing what to do I found that it was easier with another girl because (please excuse the term) the equipment was the same as mine. I just did what I know I like & it turned out I made her climax through touching for the first time ever.
I think some people do change between straight and bi because thats how I feel I am. I can really feel like I want to be with a woman sometimes, then other times I'm completely not interested in that side of things.
Sometimes you don't know for sure until you try.
Good luck

I think most of us can be one thing for a while and then our tastes/attitude/circumstances/etc change. For me I fancy who I fancy, it just so happens that the object of my deisre is usually a woman. I've really only had to a label myself since going on websites like SH, where you are asked to clarify your sexuality. I'm not sure labels are really that much use except to try to convey your wants and desires to other people.
Me? I'm trysexual.. I'll try anything once.

I have similar thoughts, bveen thinking about for last 1/2 years really - so very bi curious, have had a very small fleeting bit of f/f contact during our first experience. I worry the same, how will I know what to do, I know the equipment is the same but would it feel odd to be on the other end of it!? I also find I am much more fussy when it comes to fancying women that men, they have to be really special, may be that sounds odd but i think it just says I fancy men far more!! We can compare notes !!

I've felt bi-curious for a number of years but only admitted it to my ex hubby a couple of years ago when we were talking about fantasies. We never did get around to acting on any of them so when I became single again, I thought it was about time I found out for myself.
I joined SH and after a while met up with someone and had a very enjoyable time indeed, so much so that I've now accepted I'm bisexual and not just curious.
I still like men, still have sex with men but women turn me on too. I'm not sure about the emotional side of things with women as I can't see myself having a full time relationship with a woman. I prefer that to be with a man but the occasional female encounter is very enjoyable

Im Bi and it did just kind of creep up on me one day. I love putting on a show with a guy while a lady is present.
the old saying "dont knock it till you tried it" is appropriate.

I've always felt more androgynous than bi. That makes it sound very a-sexual, which it's not. It takes a cirtain type of guy to make me feel femanine and I'm attracted more to women as a whole than just their physicallity. Unfortunatley it's not the easiest thing to discuss with your vanilla friends so it's only really since I've been on the site that I've sat and thought it through. I don't like terms and pidgeon holes. Which is why I don't like the label 'bi'. I find I'm attracted to a person not their gender.

So true. There are things I'd like to be "out there" I just cannot be. It's not a specific thing, more like just a knowledge that you cannot be open about anything, down the pub, with your workmates, etc., so a whole part of ones life must always be hidden. Pity.

ummm by my understanding from the limited info that you have put here that would make you pansexual- if you were comfortable with a label.

You mean, "in love with the lavatory"? I've been there, top place at school if I can remember back that far. Mind you I was pretty promiscuous, any vacant one would do.

I don't even fancy the occassional woman. I occassionally fancy a person who happens to be a woman.

I don't fancy all women........I don't even fancy a lot of women.. I fancy a person who more often than not is female....
I very occasionally fancy a person who is a man (wierdly for me)..... - haven't acted on that fancy as of yet but am keeping an open mind.
I occasionally fancy people who are transgendered and have acted on that.... their history is not relevent but their outlook is amazing and a huge turn on for me.
I am beginning to realise that my attraction is to someone mentally, primarily..verbally definately.. and physically thirdly.. altho if they look like the back end of a bus I aint interested- shallow person that I am....
A womans attitude is what I tend to go for, as socially in this country women have a specific outlook and attitude that I find attractive. That doesn't mean that the men that I fancy are feminine... quite the contrary.. it means that they have (at the momentrolleyes ) an undefinable something that makes them attractive to me. I am wary of trying to extend this attraction into the bedroom incase it all goes wrong... but I am getting to the point where I wanna try.
Obviously this just makes me hugely confused..... (not reallylol ) at the moment I am happy with the term "queer" as I know that bi-sexual is too limiting and simplistic. and pansexual too open minded- and sexually I am not.
so there you go... some splendid meanderings early on in the day

Splendid... you have just saved me from trying to articulate my feelings. Again!
After spending time on reading up about what 'pansexual' means, I honestly believe that that's what I 'am'.
I just always thought I was a dirty, greedy slut that had very few sexual hang-ups and a very open mind. Pansexual sounds so much better. :lol2:
