My other half is a fan of Sting / Police and has followed them since aged 14 so just HAD to get tickets for the, yawn, reunion tour........ Being a fan club member she could get these yesterday, 3 whole days before the great unwashed! Costs to buy them were as follows:
£50 to upgrade her fan club membership to premium so she could buy the tickets in the first place
£85 per ticket x 2.........oh yes I've got to chuffing go!
£9 booking fee........... per ticket even though they were ordered in the same transaction!!
Total = £238
Our seats are in the second row of blocks from the stage......... in row U!!!!
These are supposedly still in the expensive section but I fear the band will just be 3 balding dots on the stage.
Ever had the feeling you've been ripped off?
I never would go to a concert....the prices are nothing but a rip off!....that booking fee of £9 is well cheeky....what happened to the to booking fee?
Dear Fabioplum
your wife is SOOOOOO gonna love you, isn't it worth that little extra to make her a very happy lady?
on a serious note yes these companys take the piss especially the booking fee!
enjoy the concert love peppsxx
£9 booking fee? That is a rip off.
However it depends how much you want to see the concert.
I was too slow in trying to buy George Michael tickets and ended up paying £520 for two VIP seats. Then there was the £15 parking cost plus petrol to Wembley Arena!
But it was worth every penny and I managed to get tickets for the last night of his tour too.
I read last night that they're going to play the Millenium Stadium but I predict tickets will be as rare as rocking horse shit within hours of the booking office opening confused
No doubt they'll be on Ebay for overinflated prices before long. I had the same trouble with tickets for Cream a couple of years ago. Some rip off merchants were charging £500 per ticket ffs ! mad
I wanted to take my daughter to see Justin Timberlake ( well more for me actually :inlove: ) but i refuse to pay £145 for 1 ticket.

To me any booking fee is a fiddle. There is no reason for them, be it £9 or You buy a ticket to go to an event. Why should you pay extra for access to that bit of paper.
Ticket prices for big events are a rip off but people pay them. My sympathies are limited.
I've given up going to premiership footie because of ridiculous prices. I've taken to following a lower league team.
The only thing that matters in this country nowadays is money.
The bottom line is the choice is yours
