Best club in London?

We're coming to London at the end of the month and would be interested to know which, in the opinion of all you regulars, is the best club in Central London.
Which one has a respectable ratio of single guys to couples? Which has a good range of ages (the only club we've been to ever had a high proportion of couple 50+ - we don't want to seem ageist here and we hope no-one takes offense but we are looking for people considerably younger)?
