i remember the Evil Dead as a kid and the tree scene bleurgh
i also used to watch the hamma horror with my mam and any vampire film she could find, god salems lot scared the crap out of me at about 9 ffs
i dont watch horror films anymore
"The Haunting" - B&W film, - it's one of those that's all atmosphere - no blood and guts, as far as I remember, - but by God, it was scary!
Return of the Living Dead.
Scary films fall into two cateogories for me : poorly made so I can see the joins and it's never scary (the vast majority) or I totally get into it and cannot get up the stairs without breaking into a run and throwing myself fully dressed under the duvet and staying there wide awake until it's light.
Either way - no fun watching them - so I don't.
By the way - if you ever watch a scary film with the sound off - you will not be scared. The sound is about 80% of the scare.
why aren't there any scaries on tele tonight then?
it's simply not good enough!!!
lp
the originsl?
very good!
mind you, has it ever been remade?
as for favourites, well... I do like a good horror.
a psychological twist is good rather than the full-on blood and guts. Though I have to admire the imagination of some of the people who dream up new tortures and effects.
I did like the Saw films.. II was a bit dodgy, and I see now that VI is on general release.
Sci-Fi does it for me too... so the perfect blend in Alien was a topper for me.
there are more I'm sure.
Have I mentioned Killer Klownz from Outer Space yet this week?
lp
i like the new version of the haunting
now i do have ghost ship and another cheaper version of a ghost ship
now if you was to put both versions together the film would be great
ghost ship best part right at the start where the wire cuts them in half lol
100 feet was better wasnt expecting what was in it but really worth the watch and if you think poltogiest was good try the film above
for a favourate horror film i dont have 1 as i love horror films
Is Dog Soldiers comedy or horror?
I can't believe no one has mentioned A Nightmare On Elm Street! That Shit me up! It dosn't help when you've got an older brother winding you up as well. I remember watching the first one, I started on the floor on my own but soon ended up on the couch with my mum. lol.
