Only if you're Catholic. It's supposed to be a day of fasting and abstinence. In symbolic recognition of that, a majority of practising Catholics choose to abstain from eating meat.

Sorry, but my imaginary friend said it was ok to eat meat - whenever I want. :giggle:
Mind you - I won't buy or eat hot cross buns until the Easter period. Shame really - cos I love them.
