Can I get up to any mischief today? Nope, just going to stay in and stay out of trouble. So I knew that signing in tonight, all I will need to do is read the forum and maybe join in the chatroom. I have nothing to write about and it was going to be a relaxing evening.
I was then defeated by a mug.
The kids made me a nice mug of coffee. My boy even let me use his Homer Simpson mug. So I was sat reading the Forum and drinking my coffee. A normal mug has staright sides so when you up end a coffee mug to a 90 degree angle, the mug would drain. You then tip the extra little bit to get the last drips.
What I didn't realise is that a Homer Simpson mug has an indentation in the side of the mug, that holds about 10% of extra coffee. So when I had it at 90 degrees......I thought the mug was empty. So I then quickly tipped it back to get the last drips.
Well feck me.........hot coffee shooting up your nose soon makes you cough, splutter and hold onto your throat like you are suffocating. You then run around the room making choking sounds and going red in the face. The kids just look at you as if you have gone mad........again. A mad dash to the kitchen sink and a good coughing session soon sorts you out.
Well, I was starting to feel sleepy. I am now wide awake.

I have a square one which is fab and has cats on it, youve got to drink from the corner because if you try and drink from the side, coffee pours out each side of your mouth.

I had a great mug which was perfectly normal apart from the fact it was slanted.
One guy at college first saw me using it when he was drunk. He kept tipping his head from side to side trying to get his eyes straight. The look on his face was a picture :giggle:

If they'd have been stuffed in the back of the camping cupboard I wouldn't have found them yet. It's far too cold for camping at the minute
