there seems to be a lot of rowing recently about what constitutes "bi"
now i have never given or recieved sex from a bloke but i have sucked and been sucked by a bloke..

well i'd have to say that if you've given/recieved oral sex from someone of the same sex then i'd class you as being bi, especialy if you've done it more than once, if it was just the once and you never plan to do it again and hated it then i'd put it down to experimenting, my way of thinking is that if your curious then your thinking or have thought about it actualy doing it is a different matter but thats only my opinion, looking at it another way if your male and consider yourself 100% str8 and still a virgin but have given/recieved oral with a female does that make you straight-curious? or an even better way of putting it is how do you define a bi female because they can't have penetrative sex (well not without toys lol) anyhow if your happy to perform any kind of sexual act on someone of the same sex the i'd say thats no longer curious, but i'd like to hear other peeps thoughts on this especialy from a male point of view as the views i read is that they're only curious unless they have full penatrive sex which to me is strange.

For me I think of the kind of sex I enjoy doing rather than having to give myself a label. Bi/gay/curious/straight/cd/tv can all mean different things to different people so even as a shorthand way of letting others know what you enjoy or what you are in to they can be misleading. I have taken the description of my sexuality off my profile as a result of this. For example I am looking for sex with men and I have had many message in response to my ads from people who in their profile describe themselves as straight. I go beyond the label and read what they say about themselves and what they are looking for and would enjoy doing. Labels regarding sexuality for me are a shorthand and often dont tell the whole story or give the full picture.
That was heavy for this time of the morning but its just my view of things. In the end as long as you and any others involved are honest and up front and enjoy yourselves what does it matter whether you describe yourself as bi/curious/gay/straight etc
Incidentally just to make things clear I dont use this as an excuse to make initial contact with others. If a profile says straight then I totally respect that.

I say oral is sex. Is kissing sex or a greeting? That depends on the intent of the kissers. People will say sex starts in different places but by the time you get to oral most would say it is sex.

This is a topic we were discussing with some friends of ours on saturday night, but not regarding guys, but the ladies.
All too often you see on couples ads that the lady in question is bi curious/biplayful/bi sensual/bi friendly and many other denominations of something with bi as a prefix....
But what do these mean?
I know our friends are more than a little confused as to what this means, and frustrated to boot. Their experience of bi-whatever generally constitutes that the woman is more than happy to receive, but will not return the pleasure. I know we've had this situation on more than one occasion ourselves, and while I've always been a person who prefers to give rather than receive and get my pleasure from pleasing others, I've felt a little left out before now.
While I'm certainly not complaining, it would be nice to get a little clarification.....?
I for one am definitely bi-sexual, have known for many years - even before I met my husband and we started swinging - so I'm definitely not doing it for his benefit!.

I'd agree with this broadly. I was talking to someone at work the other day about 'sexuality' and how we define ourselves. I tried to explain my own sexuality and couldn't come up with a proper word.
I described it thus - if it were like a spectrum, with 1 being gay/lesbian and 10 being completely heterosexual and 5 being bisexual that I'd be about a 7.5 lol.... lol
