big signatures

Not being techie minded at all, I'm only guessing at the reason being big pre set signatures, not the ones we type in ourselves but the sloganiser type of uploaded ones, but nigh on every thread I go to read, ends up with the page going off screen which then needs a scroll across the page to read it. I guess its not an issue if the site is being viewed on a wide screen, but I'm sure that a lot of folk, like me, use laptops or desktops with smaller screens and will be experiancing the same problem.
So my question is, are these signatures the reason and can they be shortened up a tadge by the owners (who may not even realise whats happening if they are big screen users) easily so they fit the page better without them loosing any of the message. I ain't whinging about them being there, but I am sure that it would benefit a number of users if a page could be read without the need to scroll.
Do I need to shorten up???
lol
Er, so your saying yours is too small then?

Mine got squashed, apparently it was making the system squirm.
H.x
I'm not sure what it is that widens the screen.
My sloganiser one doesn't stretch the page on my laptop, but let me know if it's affecting anyone else and I remove it as I totally agree with your comments - the stretched page is just soooo annoying
Ok
tecchie peeps, if mine is a prob is there a way I can make it smaller.
( I dont often work that way round  )

point at it and snigger dunno ...works in this house
I believe the forum software has an option to turn off viewing sigs (If you are not logged in, you can't see sigs), but I can't find the button anywhere - it used to be next to the one to turn off your own sig... perhaps the button has been lost in the re-design of the site? Perhaps a Mod could ask admin about it wink
I use Firefox's Adblock extension to hide some of the bigger and more irritating pictures in sigs... and the whole of sloganizer amongs others!
