You'll never get rich
BBC Radio Four - this morning.
Well, I'll be listening

I did listen.
It came as a suprise to me that the last Bilko show was recorded in 1959. Even now I will try to watch the programme and it hadn't occurred to me that I have never seen one in colour. It's a rare treat to come across one I haven't seen before but I will happily rewatch any of them.
The characters were so well crafted that one interviewee said " I was talking to Dluane Doberman" Pause. "Can't remember his name"
I think there was a Steve Martin film about Bilko - I have never watched more than a few minutes of it.
Anyway, I enjpoyed it. Coming out of retirement, Sarge?
Mollie
DAMN - how do you do that? You just say "listen again" or "click here" and magic happens. That's a rhetorical question. I wouldn't understand the answer
Bilko's name is "Ernest G Bilko". This is the sort of trivia question I like. What is the "G" for? I won't give the answer because I don't know it. Does anybody?
Mollie
(Yes)
If I had three wishes the first one would be:
How to do those little white boxes.
But the next might be "What is the "G" for in Ernest G.
Mollie
Well - you'd have to keep one back, wouldn't you? If you has three then it would be worth keeping one in reserve. For a rainy day, say.
Do you know - I think there could be the start of a good thread there.
