blinking hospitals...

for the last few weeks poor old Angie has been real poorly - eventually it came to a head with my lad calling the ambulance out to her and me rushing to the while I was working nights!
Eventually, at 5 am, she had an xray and they decided to keep her on a ward for further tests the next day - so morphine duly administered, off she went to the ward. I went home, fed dogs etc and then ret'd to hospital at visiting times allocated. so far so good.
Then we're told they can't find the xray results, so they need to do a scan - could I wait with her?
Some 5 hours later we're told that they 'people' have lost her scan request, she was given more morphine and off I went to work.
next day same thing! they lost yet another scan - I went a little bit annoyed - so they sent Ang home to go in for tests the next day. As yet - we're still waiting on results but at least she's getting better!
Not long now and we'll be as back to normal as we ever have been lol - hospitals??? I love em......... not!

Sorry to here of your bad experience,and you got good reason to be p***ed off.l hope you wrote to the complaints dept,about your as a person that works in a A@E dept,l can honestly say not all the hospitals are the same. smile

I know its a pain in the arse when things like that happen, but then we wouldnt be without them, would we?
Weve had many misdiagnosed situations in my family from hospitals.
Then again, theyve looked after some of my family very well too.

I've been in and out of hospitals for the last year. I have to make 3 visits every 2 weeks stil. My treatment ends in September so I'll be free of them for a while hopefully

Seems your having a bad run for sure... but think on the bright side.. You got morphine, she got pain relief and you say she is feeling better. Maybe the hospital did more good than you think anyway??
I think they get a rough deal.. they work wonders with sometimes very little, all the good gets ignored in preference to bad publicity.. Yeah inconvienient for sure.. but she is feeling well bless..

At least the A&E was still operational..
Under proposal is the closing/scaling down of some 29 A&E/maternity departments across the country..
If you think its bad now just wait a while and see how bad it gets..

not really blaming the staff etc - just having a moan - typical that when one thing goes wrong - more happens lol.
Still, at least she's getting better - and that's the main thing
