i was just about to say that! im sure paypal will have some way of reporting and recouping your money hun. i always use paypal for exactly that reason...fingers crossed ive never had anyone not post me the item, though i would be so :x :x :x
I have found that they are very good when it comes to things like this. I have had to report 2 people for not sending the goods and recovered all of my money.... Hopefully you will to Shireen xxx

Thing is if the geezer you bought it from has emptied his paypal account you might not get your money back. I put a complaint in about something i won last year and i paid £45 for it. After 2 months paypal gave me back 34 pence!

:scared: better not give me fecking 34 pence If they do, I've got an old Nokia that I can sell you for 25p, the number '9' button doesn't work, but provided you don't want to ring a friend with a '9' in the number or have a chip pan fire that is gonna need the fire brigade it might do a job I guess you could put the change towards a cheap tea towel to chuck on the chip pan which kinda kills one of the problems.

DaveJ thanks for that
Me too. I sold a top range phone, had to post to Africa. Turned out the emails I had from paypal and the auction site were fakes. Post office wouldn't stop delivery, Police were more interested in arresting doggers and speeders. Paypal gave nothing. I lost £150. Then my auction account got hijacked and some b*gg*r was selling non existent items under my good name. Lucky this time I found out quick enough to hold any payments. My tip, don't go for outrageous deals or unknown 'buy it now's". eg 50 mobile phones for Buy it Now £250. Smell the con. I'm still steaming. Hi everybody I'm born again on Swinging Heaven
Happened to me a couple of times - as at happens both items were from Hong Kong... : They wanted me to pay by nochex, but I insisted on paypal (good job!) and i had no probs getting my money back - was about £120, did take about 30 days though :? Since then my account has been used illegally (as it happens by a Hong Kong user!!!) (you decide) whereby they copied all my details / feedback everything and created an account in my name. :!: :!: :!: but put in the item descripton "please use this address for payments" Needless to say the "bay of e" were most apologetic (especially as paypal is one of their companies) and although I didn't loose any money (it was all just hassle), they gave me free listings for 3 months!!! What I would suggest is that you phone them instead of using email all the time as it tends to get sorted much quicker... Don't worry h&h - it WILL get sorted (eventually) Leo xxx
I bought an ace camcorder on an auction site... £100 quid saving on Hi St price! After paying through PayPal I was a bit worried about security fraud An ex of mine got burnt £170 for a non existent phone... I saw the bid she made but told her I didn't like the idea of the guy having no feedback. PayPal didn't refund coz the guy had no funds in his PayPal account :fuckinghell: Even though I used a Power Seller I hear even then its no security coz u can buy profiles on to use on the site... Did I hear this correctly or is it just scare mongering?

Yes red, it can be done.... fluckin ells bells!!! how can you suss those buggas out then?
You can't red, all it takes is someone with a good credit rating to decide to give their details, username and password to someone else and thats it....... Not all individuals are besotted by getting a million stars to up there profile and thus make them more "trustworthy" - basically the concept by which the site is based on (i.e. trust)

Your not obliged to keep any monies in a PayPal account & PayPal can only refund you if the owner of the PayPal account has left money in it!!! Now that sucks!
