I just spent ages composing a post for the cam section of Lets Meet up, thinking it through, trying to make it appealing and different.
I'd nearly finished it when..................................

Open question for a Mod (not one of you unsympathetic bugggers who wants to do away with cam posts. FFS isn't that a bit narrow minded on an adult site?). Ok here's my question:
In order not to have to repeat this time-wasting exercise, next time I spend ages composing my post and (providing I don't accidently delete it) is there a way I can post it back up there without having to retype the thing? dunno

Hi Mate, when you delete it press CTRL+Z (which is undo) may save your bacon...
Also copy all the text into notepad (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C... Notepad...Ctrl+V) and then just copy back anytime you want to post.

Thanks for that TnH. I was thinking of an easier way (not being very computer literate when it comes to all the nifty shortcuts to doing stuff like that).
Whilst the Mods debate the future of cam ads (assuming they still are) May I suggest a cam ads section? That way anyone interested in a permanent ad (as opposed to a spur of the moment one liner) could post much like in the photo ads section. At least then the "morally righteous" who consider there's no place on a site like SH for cam ads wouldn't have to peep at them. They could just ignore!!

I don't quite get this.
What delete button?
You say you had 'nearly' finished, presumably meaning not yet posted? There is no delete button until after you've submitted. If you hit the delete button after you've submitted, you have to hit another button to verify that you want to delete. At what point did you actually lose what you typed?

, I see what you mean. I don't know what happened but my composition just disappeared. Maybe I took too long and it just "timed out".

Eager, the change to the system for cam ads was nothing to do with morality or anything else. We just had so many of them all over the Let's Meet Up section, it was putting people off going in there for the other ads. It was just a way of streamlining the ads to make it easier for all. Those wanting webcams now have their own area - exclusivity!!

Not sure where your post ended up ES but i also had a little mishap the other day.
I opened up the pms to go and mail someone, as i did this a pm must have come through from that person at the same time, it wasn't there before i opened the pm section, following me so far i hope.
I went to open the pm that had just arrived. Where did it go??? It was there, we both saw it but wasn't there when we went to open it.
I then pm'd the person that i went into pm, they mailed back asking if i had got the pm from them. I know i did get that message but where did it go??? dunno
