Yes I was one of those nimble fingered little girls, I made dolls house furniture from egg boxes, matchboxes and I made a christmas candle from a loo roll!
Did anyone else make anything from the good old Blue Peter days??

I made both of my Grandma's an ORANGE encrusted with CLOVES (I think it was supposed to be a smelly thing to keep clothes smelling fresh)!!! ....... have to be honest ......... they were absolutely awful Christmas presents! .......... but I was so proud.:smug:
However ........ I have a better one than that ........ Aged 23 years old and NEWLY married I decided to make a four poster bed for a surprise for HUBBY when he got in from work!!!!
I made it out of 4 bits of 2 x 4 (wood plank thingies) and 4 broom sticks and lots of 6" nails!!
Again I was proud until it fell on us, later that evening!!!!!![]()

I made my brother a pot thing to keep his pens and pencils in ............ a washing up bottle cut in half covered with sticky back plastic with Metal Mickey on it :smug:
I covered all my school books with Wall Paper :smug:

I've made enough items (read junk) outta toilet rolls & sticky-backed plastic to commission a new landfill!![]()
But true to form everything on SH gets corrupted including my brain & now I dare not go into my Mothers loft for fear of the urge to stick my willy in one to see if it measures up!

I was listening to our local radio station, they were chatting about people who had actually made stuff years ago from Blue Peter. A guy rang up and said he'd made "Tracy Island"![]()
