I've suddenly started getting (literally) hundreds of junk emails every day trying to get me to buy every conceivable drug under the sun to "help me get better erections". % of them are so crap I can't believe anyone would pay them any attention, the remaining % are just crap.
Have I been singled out to receive theseor are they a universal email hazard?

It's just another form of advertising, the same as adverts and the leaflets that fall out of your papers and come through your door..companies do it in the hope that some people will take notice and buy the products

That's because many of them originate from places abroad where english is not the first language :D

Be carefull what forms you fill out online as spammers need to get your E Mail address from somewhere
Tricky though as once you buy things online (as we often do) then your address seems to end up everywhere like it or not.

Set 2 accounts up, 1 for online form filling in so any likey spam condidates get that address and then a normal day to day one for friends family and other contacts.

Can't be bothered because most of the stuff I do online is to do with signing up to and buying things
If I did use email to talk to friends/family could see your point but I don't really.

I use loads of differant email account, all ####(differant each time) @ ##### (same each time).net
This is due to the work I do and needing to filter emails into differant Folders as they arrive.
I they all go through my Virus Checked before anywhere else and the junk and spam goes into the bin and deleted. I never even see it,
so no problem with the stuff at all.
Get a good virus Check, with a spam and email filter that does the job avery time.
