Does anyone know the best way to take in a PVC basque? I`m a little nervous about punching holes through PVC

Have ya tried stapling it while its on - get a nice snug fit that way ;)

You get less of a chance of ripping PVC if you stick electricians tape over the surfaces you are to sew.* Have to tape both bits, though. The tape will go slimy and peel off, if you get too hot in the PVC, mind.
*Kinda works in the same way as the 'pushing a pin into an inflated balloon' trick.
I found this solved the problem for me!
Just a hint for you -
Don't forget to put the tape on the inside :giggle:
leave the basque alone and eat cream cakes.
.....davej, simple solutions 'R' us............
I my line of work i've got reels and reels of electrical tape, which bit do u want taping
i would be tempted to fold it in - then super glue it.
pvc has a habit of ripping completely once u have damaged the structure even slightly by cutting it.
i'm just thinking... i know bad sign for me.... but aint there a pvc glue.... i'm sure i got some in the cupboard i'll go make a coffe and check
Don't worry i'll leave my screne on this page so i don't lose the post and let you know...

nope sorry hun.... wood glue, white glue, doublesided tape, masking tape and a staple gun.... but you know when you know you've seen something with pvc and glue written on it... this will bug me now....
i'm gonna drink my coffee and have a think
Now Ive got to qsk this, why would you want to take in a basque, is it ethical and have you cosnulted with said basque and asked its opinion?
Perhaps you could ring The Basque Party for further info and counseling?
