Nope, I don't get it either. Shouldn't the options be Jackanory or Cotton wool?
Personally I never thought they were related or mutually exclusive.
BUT I still miss the stories of Little Nose and his pet mammoth read by a wonderful chap from the Islands of Scotland with the most lilting Scots accent. He could be on my satnav anytime.

Also loved the cartoonist (forget his name) who spoke and illustrated the Roald Dalh stories.
